An Industry Icon at Concorso
We are pleased to welcome the legendary Piero Rivolta to this year’s Concorso Italiano. Mr. Rivolta, a longtime friend of the Concorso, will again join us to share his wit, experience, and to introduce the newly published third edition of “ISORIVOLTA, The Men, The Machines”, written by Winston Goodfellow. The book is a detailed history of the family’s IsoRivolta Corporation. It provides a behind the scenes look at the Italian car industry and great exotic cars of the late 1950s and 1960s. The book is full of historical photos; a must–read for car enthusiasts. The book will be specially priced for Concorso attendees, and Mr. Rivolta will be happy to sign your copy and share some stories with you.

Piero Rivolta became the world’s youngest CEO in the automobile industry when he inherited IsoRivolta at the tender age of 24. He designed and built the Grifo sports car, the Lele and the four–door Fidia, and built the Formula One racecar, IsoRivolta Marlboro. The company also produced motorcycles, snowmobiles and the popular egg–shaped Isetta bubble car. Many of these are now highly valued by collectors.
Mr. Rivolta’s life story is a fascinating journey through the automobile industry, real estate, world–class sailing yachts and speedboats, and literary pursuits. Having renewed his original passion for writing, Mr. Rivolta has become an award–winning author of poetry and novels. Copies of his books will also be available at Concorso at special event pricing.
Come and join Piero Rivolta at Concorso Italiano and meet the man behind the IsoRivolta machines—from automaker to award–winning author. |
